High Flight - aviation activities for our disadvantaged young

Our activities are funded mostly by the generosity of British Airways staff and additional kind donations from corporations and associations such as Rotary and Railtrack. High Flight is a completely non profit making organisation without the "overheads" and "expenses" associated with larger charities. This means your contribution really does go right to the purpose for which it is intended. Please help us, if you work for British Airways, you can give via your payroll. 			Flying just a few thousand feet above the ground in complete safety, our young pilots feel the thrill of "real" flying and witness the detailed view of the landscape beneath. We encourage participation by other family members so the event can be shared between them all. High Flight also sponsors special flight days at the excellent aviation museum at Duxford, a part of the Imperial War Museum. As well as the sick and terminally ill, our guests include youngsters from disadvantaged areas and those with severe learning difficulties. People who would never normally get a chance to experience the thrill of flight are being given the chance by donations from our sponsors. Link to Imperial War Museum - Duxford
